why is it ok for girls to say another guy (celebrity or not) is hot or cute or whatever in front of their boyfriend/husband but not ok for a guy to say that another girl (celebrity or not) is cute or hot or whatever in front of their girlfriend/wife?

i feel like if you’re with someone you should keep things like that to yourself in the first place. i also feel as though information like that doesn’t help a relationship.
